A QUARTERLY UPDATE FROM THE

VICTORVILLE WATER DISTRICT

HIGHLIGHTS FROM THIS QUARTER
The Water Conservation Team
Becomes QWEL Certified.

The Water Conservation team attended a month long training opportunity to become Qualified Water Emergency Landscaper (QWEL) certified. The QWEL program is an EPA WaterSense labeled professional certification that is beneficial for performing irrigation system audits.

This certification provides our Conser vation team with knowledge in water use efficiency and sustainable landsc ape practices, including water man- agement and efficient irrigation principles. Irrigation audits are provided at no cost to our customers to help th em save water and thus reduce their monthly bill. This also helps the District achieve conservation targets man- dated by the State of California.

The City of Victorville
Receives the 2022
Climate Impact Award

The District participates yearly in the
Enersponse program, which provides
simple and convenient guidelines to
conserve energy. The District is able
to leverage the benefits of this energy
conservation program by not operat-
ing certain water production wells
during designated peak hours.

Through this program, the District
was able to conserve over 105,306
pounds of carbon dioxide (CO2) emis-
sions in 2022. The District has re-
ceived this award for the second year
in a row.
