RESOLUTION NO. CHAS 24-001
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
VICTORVILLE AS HOUSING ASSETS SUCCESSOR OF THE
VICTORVILLE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY (“CHAS’)
AMENDING THE ANNUAL BUDGET FOR FISCAL YEAR 2023-
2024; APPROVING ADDITIONAL REVENUE
WHEREAS, the City Manager of the City of Victorville did heretofore submit to the City Council an estimate of the expenditures and revenues of the City departments and offices, together with a proposed budget for the fiscal year 2023-2024; and
WHEREAS, copies of said budget were prepared and distributed to the City Council and approved by the City Council on June 6, 2023, and have been available for the inspection by the public in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Victorville; and
WHEREAS, the City of Victorville Mortgage Assistance Program (MAP) was authorized and approved by the Victorville Redevelopment Agency on or around July 1997 to provide assistance to very low, low, and moderate income homebuyers purchasing a home within the City of Victorville; and
WHEREAS, the Victorville Redevelopment Agency is now dissolved , and the interest and functions of the former Victorville Redevelopment Agency have been assigned to the City of Victorville as Housing Assets Successor, pursuant to Resolution No. R-HF-16-001; and
WHEREAS, the City of Victorville, as Successor to the Housing Assets of the Victorville Redevelopment Agency received repayment of the MAP loan issued to Steven M. Alcala on March 30, 2009, MAP Case No. 09-01-04 in the amount of $ 10,359.12 (this amount reflects a credit of $379.88 received by the City as an escrow refund when the property was initially acquired by Mr. Alcala); and
WHEREAS, a need to amend the budget is necessary to recognize the increase in budget revenue.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VICTORVILLE DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the annual budget for the fiscal year 2023-2024 for the City of Victorville be hereby amended to reflect an increase in budget revenue as shown below and as described in the corresponding agenda item dated January 16, 2024.

SECTION 2. That copies of such amended budget, certified by the City Clerk, shall be filed with the auditors of the City of Victorville and in the office of the City Clerk for public inspection and certified copies thereof shall be made available for use by the City departments, offices and subsidiary districts of the City.
