Environmental Programs Quarterly Report for the Second Quarter of Fiscal Year 2024 Recommendation:
That the Honorable Victorville City Council review and file.

Strategic Plan Goal:
This item aligns with Goal D (Reduce Homelessness) and Goal E (Invest in Infrastructure) of the Strategic Plan. The Environmental Programs Division staff is part of the homelessness outreach network that effectively engage the homeless community in services. Additionally, they assist with creating a healthy and livable community by maintaining the City’s assets through investment in infrastructure and innovations, and are working on the design and property acquisition for a consolidated recycling center to ensure compliance with State requirements and provide streamlined services for our citizens.
Discussion:
The City of Victorville Environmental Programs Division within the Public Works Department serves both residential and commercial customers, with a staff of 19 personnel between field and admin staff. Department staff will be providing quarterly updates as a means to present key departmental activities, pertinent highlights, and operational performance indicators. Staff is available to answer any questions the Council may have.
