PARKS DIVISIONQUARTER 2
We are proud to announce the completion of the City of Victorville’s first all- inclusive playground structure at Eva Dell Park! The playground provides those with physical, emotional, social, sensory, cognitive, communicative or no disabilities to play and develop alongside one another. The inclusive play surpasses the minimum requirements for an ADA-compliant playground and utilizes a universal design that allows children with and without disabilities to play and interact with one another in one location. This improvement was funded by a Prop 68 Grant from the California Department of Parks & Recreation, California Parks & Recreation Society, and Game Time. Future improvements at Eva Dell Park will include additional sports lighting, a splash pad, walking loop, dog park, and covered picnic areas!

Saturday, October 7th, was a hit! It
included over 95 vendors including
specialty food items and gifts, non-
profit organizations (demonstrated
how they can assist community
members), and city departments with
booths loaded with fun and exciting
ways to learn about the city services
and programs. It also included our first
ever pet adoption!
Attendance rose to approximately
15,000 people, enjoying culinary treats
and ending with live entertainment

Believing a Journey Tribute Band.

2 LIBRARY DIVISIONQUARTER 2
The Victorville City Library offers a variety
of services to the public including
passport services! United States Citizens
planning international travel may apply
for their passports by appointment. The
library is a full service ‘Acceptance
Agency’, that assists with applications
and picture taking services for a small fee.
All of our passport services, are done
through the City’s website via an online
calendaring service called Acuity
Scheduling.
The Little Free Libraries in city parks
were started by the Friends of the
Victorville Library. The first Little Free
Library was installed at Hook Park
about six years ago and has been a
great success. In 2023, the second
Little Free Library was installed at
Brentwood Park. Both were paid for
by the Friends of The Library.
Little Free Library's motto is “Take a
Book, Share a Book.” These little
libraries help build communities,
inspire readers, and expand book
access. Placing these libraries in city
parks will bring access to books to the
communities where they frequent.

3 FACILITIES DIVISIONQUARTER 2
On March 15, 2022, City Council awarded TR
Design Group, Inc. contract for a conceptual
redesign of the Clubhouse.
In December 2023, the City approved the
complete set of construction drawings and
specifications. The plans include a remodel of
the Clubhouse and a 5,000 sq. ft. expansion to
the Children’s Library. Other key features
include a Computer Lab, Maker’s Space, Teen
Room, Children’s outdoor programing area,
and ADA accessibility improvements.
Construction is anticipated to begin in April
2024, with a projected 18-20 months for
completion. We are planning for a December
2025 grand opening.

The Library Master Plan was adopted by City
Council on April 20, 2021. It was determined a
need for a larger library. The current library facility has a footprint of 8,229 sq. ft.
In May 2021, space became available at the Green
Tree Golf Course Clubhouse. The Clubhouse
location was consistent with Master Plan
recommendations in that it is centrally located,
with natural lighting desired for library facilities,
and has an improved outdoor area for
programming and use by library patrons.
These findings moved staff to seek the services of
an architectural design firm to redesign the
Clubhouse into the City Library.
