Animal Licensing
The State of Emergency Resolution for animal shelter operations was extended until the end of June 2024, allowing Victorville Animal Care & Control staff to continue to waive fees for first-time dog licenses to microchipped dogs.
Every Thursday from 8am - 3pm, at the Animal Control office on Amargosa Road, staff offer a free microchipping clinic for residents with dogs needing a microchip to take advantage of the program.
Since the Emergency Resolution was adopted, nearly 1, 500 dogs have participated in this well-received free new license and microchipping program. When an animal with a microchip is found, the data on the microchip increased the chance of reuniting the pet with it’s owner by more than 73%.
