RESOLUTION NO. 24-022
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VICTORVILLE AMENDING THE ANNUAL BUDGET FOR FISCAL YEAR 2023 -2024; APPROVING AN ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATION OF THE RECREATION – DEVELOPMENT IMPACT
FEE FUND FOR THE HOOK PARK SOCCER FIELD LIGHTING INSTALLATION
WHEREAS, the City Manager of the City of Victorville did heretofore submit to the City Council an estimate of the expenditures and revenues of the City departments and offices, together with a proposed budget for the fiscal year 2023-2024; and
WHEREAS, copies of said budget were prepared and distributed to the City Council, were approved by the City Council on June 6, 2023, and have been available for the inspection by the public in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Victorville; and
WHEREAS, on February 26, 202 4, the City issued a Request Inviting Bids for the Hook Park Soccer Field Lighting Installation to obtain the lowest responsive and responsible bid, and
WHEREAS, on March 19, 2024, the lowest responsive and responsible bid was submitted by Huntington Beach Electric in the amount of $198,000.00 exceeding the approved appropriation, and
WHEREAS, the fiscal year 2023-2024 budget requires amending the expenditures in the amount of Seventy -Five Thousand, Four Hundred Twenty -Six Dollars and 88/100 ($75,426.88), to fund the Hook Park Soccer Field Lighting Installation;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VICTORVILLE DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the annual budget for fiscal year 2023-2024 for the City of Victorville
be hereby amended to reflect a change in the amounts and associated accounts listed below and as described in the corresponding Agenda Item.
SECTION 2. That copies of such amended budget, certified by the City Clerk, shall be filed with the auditors of the City of Victorville and in the office of the City Clerk for public inspection and certified copies thereof shall be made available for use by City departments, offices and subsidiary districts of the City.
SECTION 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
