RESOLUTION NO. 24-023
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VICTORVILLE AMENDING THE ANNUAL BUDGET FOR FISCAL YEAR 2023-2024;
APPROVING ADDITIONAL EXPENDITURE APPROPRIATIONS AND
ADDITIONAL REVENUE FOR THE SEVENTH STREET TRAFFIC SIGNAL
MODIFICATIONS PROJECT
WHEREAS, the City Manager of the City of Victorville did heretofore submit to the City Council an estimate of the expenditures and revenues of the City departments and offices, together with a proposed budget for the fiscal year 2023-2024; and WHEREAS, copies of said budget were prepared and distributed to the City Council, approved by the City Council prior to June 6, 2023, and have been available for the inspection by the public in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Victorville; and WHEREAS, after preparation of the budget, notification was received of an approval for a Highway Safety Improvement Program Cycle 10 grant increase in the amount of Six Hundred Thirty-Nine Thousand, Five Hundred Dollars ($639,500) for the Seventh Street Traffic Signal Modifications Project; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager or his designee will provide all necessary justification for the budget amendment as an attachment to this resolution or in the associated City Council agenda report; and
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to amend the annual budget as set forth in this Resolution, memorialize the acceptance of the grants.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VICTORVILLE DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the annual budget for the fiscal year 2023-2024 for the City of Victorville is hereby amended to reflect revenue in the Highway Safety Improvement Program account No. 2707501N-43110-62064 in the amount of Six Hundred Thirty-Nine Thousand, Five Hundred Dollars ($639,500) and an increase in the expenditure account No. 2707501N-55315-62064 in the amount of Six Hundred Thirty-Nine Thousand, Five Hundred Dollars ($639,500), as shown below and as described in the corresponding agenda item dated April 16, 2024.

SECTION 2. That the City Council affirm acceptance of the grant funds for the Seventh Street Traffic Signal Modifications Project and authorize the City Manager or his designee to execute said grant as further described in the above-referenced Staff Report for Council Meeting of April 16, 2024.
SECTION 3. That copies of such amended budget, certified by the City Clerk, shall be filed with the auditors of the City of Victorville and in the office of the City Clerk for public inspection and certified copies thereof shall be made available for use by City departments, offices and subsidiary districts of the City.
SECTION 4. That this Resolution becomes effective immediately upon its adoption.
