RESOLUTION NO. 24-0 29
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF VICTORVILLE AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER OR HIS/HER DESIGNEE TO SUBMIT AN APPLICATION FOR AN ENERGY
EFFICIENCY AND CONSERVATION BLOCK GRANT PROGRAM AND EXECUTE
ALL GRANT RELATED DOCUMENTS
WHEREAS, the City of Victorville has identified the Depar tment of Energy’s, Ener gy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant (EECB G) program to support pr ojects aimed to reduce the City’s energy us age; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Energy has established procedures governing the administration of the EEGBG program; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Energy’s procedures for administration of the EEGBG program require, among other things, that an applicant to designate a representativ e as the point of contact related to the administration of the EECBG program; and WHEREAS, on April 28, 2023, the City of Victorville submitted a Pre-Award Information Sheet to the Department of Energy to expres s interest in the EECBG program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Victorville authorizes the submittal of application to the Department of Energy for the EECBG progr am; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLV ED that the City Manager or his/her designee is hereby authorized and empowered to ex ecute in the name of the City of Victorville all grant documents, including but not limited to, applications, agreements, amendments, and requests for payment, necessary to secure grant funds and implem ent the approved grant project.
