RESOLUTION NO. 24-054
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
VICTORVILLE CONFIRMING THE ANNUAL SPECIAL TAX
AMOUNTS TO BE LEVIED AGAINST THE PARCELS
WITHIN THE COMMUNITY FACILITIES DISTRICT 07-01
FOR THE TAX YEAR 2024-2025
WHEREAS, the City of Victorville has, by Ordinance No. 2200, authorized the levy of a special tax within the Community Facilities District No. 07-01, under the provisions of Chapter 2.5, Part 1, Division 2, Title 5 (commencing with Section 53311 of the California Government Code, commonly known as the “Mello-Roos Community Facilities Act of 1982”); and
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 2200 authorizes that the special tax be determined each year by resolution and shall not exceed that set forth in the rate and method of apportionment; and
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
VICTORVILLE DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the special tax levy is determined to be in accordance with the methodology set forth in Ordinance No. 2200, authorizing the levy and the tax methodology of the special tax in the Community Facilities District No. 07-01. The list of assessments for the annexed area are shown in Attachment “1” attached hereto and are on file in the Finance Division of the City of Victorville.
SECTION 2. That the special tax levy shall be collected in the same manner as ordinary ad valorem property taxes are collected and shall be subject to the same penalties and the same procedure, sale and lien priority in case of delinquency as is provided for ad valorem taxes, as such procedure may be modified by the law or by the City Council from time to time.
SECTION 3. That the City Clerk of the City of Victorville is hereby ordered and directed to file a certified copy of the special tax levy roll with the County together with a certified copy of this resolution upon its adoption.
SECTION 4. That the works of improvement determined by the Community Facilities District No. 07-01 include financing all or a portion of the acquisition construction, and installation of public facilities, including City facilities and parks, roads and public safety capital improvements, as set forth in Resolution 02-38, adopted by the City Council of the City of Victorville May 7, 2002. The facilities and the cost of the facilities for Community Facilities District No. 07-01 is set forth in Resolutions No. 07-151, adopted May 15, 2007 and Resolution No. 07-188, adopted June 19, 2007.
