Recommendation:
That the Honorable City Council review and file.

There is no fiscal impact associated with this item.
Strategic Plan Goal:
The City of Victorville Strategic Plan 2023-2026 identifies multi-year strategic goals and various strategies to work towards achieving those goals. Goal A, Financial Sustainability focuses on fostering fiscal health through disciplined long-term planning, cost control, increased revenues, and cost recovery. Specific to this item, Strategy 3 focuses on maintaining adequate reserves in the general fund in order to protect against fluctuations in the economy, unexpected expenses and to meet or exceed the Government Finance Officers Association recommended standard. The data in this report can assist the Council in monitoring development activity for fluctuations due to economic conditions and other factors.
Background:
Staff has compiled the attachment Building Department Activity Report for the first two quarters of the 2024 calendar year.
Discussion:
The attached Building Department Activity report includes information regarding permit and licensing activity and revenue for single family residences, new commercial, and industrial business and construction, as well as miscellaneous issued permits and licenses.
