RESOLUTION NO. 24-082
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
VICTORVILLE, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING ACCEPTANCE OF THE
CALRECYCLE CITY/COUNTY PAYMENT PROGRAM GRANT (FY
2023-24 CYCLE) AND AMENDING THE CITY’S ANNUAL BUDGET
FOR FY 2023-24
WHEREAS, pursuant to Public Resources Code § 14581(a)(3)(A) of the CA Beverage Container and Litter Reduction Act et seq. the California State Department of Resources Recycling and Recovery (CalRecycle) distributes payments to qualifying jurisdictions for implementation of beverage container recycling activities; and WHEREAS, the Victorville City Council previously adopted Resolution No. 23- 080 on October 3, 2023, which authorized the City to apply for CalRecycle payment program grants; and
WHEREAS, CalRecycle has notified the City that grant funds have been awarded to the City for Beverage Container Recycling City/County Payment Program, Cycle Fiscal Year 2023-24.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VICTORVILLE DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City of Victorville is authorized to accept the City/County Payment Program Cycle Fiscal Year 2023-24 grant funds from CalRecycle.
Section 2. The City of Victorville Fiscal Year 2023-2024 budget shall be amended to reflect additional revenues in the amount of $34,615 (2704052-43110-21384) and additional expenses in the amount of $8,000 for Supplies (2704052-52110-21384), $8,615 for Advertising (2704052-52170-21384), and $18,000 for Contract Services (2704052-52300-21384).
Section 3.That copies of such amended budget, certified by the City Clerk, shall be filed with the auditors of the City of Victorville and in the office of the City Clerk for public inspection and certified copies thereof shall be made available for use by City departments, offices, and subsidiary districts of the City.
Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
