Second Reading of Ordinance No. 2452
Recommendation:
That the City Council adopt, by second reading, Ordinance No. 2452, amending Chapters
2.04, 2.08, and 2.22 of the Victorville Municipal Code to further define the powers and duties of the City Manager, formally authorize the use of insurance in lieu of statutory faithful performance bonds for the offices of City Manager, City Clerk, and City Treasurer, and update the City’s Municipal Code provisions relating to the City’s personnel merit system.

Discussion:
At the Regular City Council meeting held on October 15, 2024, the City Council voted to introduce Ordinance No. 2452, amending Chapters 2.04, 2.08, and 2.22 of the Victorville Municipal Code to further define the powers and duties of the City Manager, formally authorize the use of insurance in lieu of statutory faithful performance bonds for the offices of City Manager, City Clerk, and City Treasurer, and update the City’s Municipal Code provisions relating to the City’s personnel merit system.
This ordinance is being presented for adoption and once adopted, will become effective December 5, 2024.
