Background:
At the City Council meeting of September 17, 2024, it was moved by Mayor Becerra with majority approval to agendize an item for discussion and possible action to create a committee and appoint committee members which would include two Council Members, one executive staff member and Chief Clemmer to further discuss a potential firework policy.
Discussion:
This item is being presented to Council so that Council can further discuss the creation of a committee and appointment of committee members which would include two Council Members, one executive staff member and Chief Clemmer to further discuss a potential firework policy. To further this discussion, Victorville Municipal Code Chapter 13.22 has been attached and is our currently policy guiding our response to fireworks.
