Fiscal Year 2024-2025 Training Schedule for Newly Elected Council Member Tiffany Gaudin
Recommendation:
That Your Honorable City Council approve and authorize Council Member Tiffany Gaudin to attend the New Mayors and Council Members Academy, the City Leaders Summit, and the City/County Conference.
Fiscal Impact:
Unknown at this time, and dependent upon registration fees and travel costs. City Council travel and meetings expense account 1001220-52150 has a budgeted amount of $26,000 for Fiscal Year 2024-2025.
Strategic Plan Goal:
Goal F: Communication and Outreach– Attendance allows Council Members the opportunity to collaborate with other jurisdictions and build on relationships.
Background:
At a Regular City Council meeting held on June 18, 2024, the City Council directed staff as to which business events the Council will attend during Fiscal Year 2024-2025.
Included in those events were the New Mayors and Council Members Academy, the City Leaders Summit, and the City/County Conference. On December 10, 2024, a Special City Council meeting was held to announce the results of the November 5, 2024, General Municipal Election results at which time Resolution Number 24-104 was adopted, thereby certifying Tiffany Gaudin as the Council Member for District 1.
Discussion:
This item is being presented to Council seeking approval and authorization for newly elected Council Member Gaudin’s attendance to the events identified in the table below 2 9

for Fiscal Year 2024-2025. These events are organized by the League of California Cities and the City/County Conference.
