Strategic Plan Goal:
The City of Victorville Strategic Plan 2023-2026 identifies multi-year strategic goals and various strategies to work towards achieving those goals. Goal A, Financial Sustainability focuses on fostering fiscal health through disciplined long-term planning, cost control, increased revenues, and cost recovery. Specific to this item, Strategy 3 focuses on maintaining adequate reserves in the general fund in order to protect against fluctuations in the economy, unexpected expenses, and to meet or exceed the Government Finance Officers Association recommended standard. The data in this report can assist the Council in monitoring development activity for fluctuations due to economic conditions and other factors.
Background:
Staff has compiled the attachment Building Department Activity Report for the 2024 calendar year.
Discussion:
This attached Building Department Activity report includes information regarding permit and licensing activity and revenue for single family residences, new commercial, and industrial businesses and construction, as well as miscellaneous issued permits and licenses. In addition, the Fire Prevention fourth quarter newsletter has also been included 3 9

to provide information regarding permit activity and an update on the functions of the Division.
