Notice of Completion – Roof Replacement for Various Facilities, Project CC25-014 Recommendation:
That the Honorable Board of Directors accept as complete and approve the Notice of Completion for the Roof Replacement for Various Facilities, Project CC25-014 and authorize the General Manager to execute the Notice of Completion.
Fiscal Impact:
There is no fiscal impact associated with this item. Retention in the amount of five percent was withheld from each payment application during the course of construction as per the construction agreement. The retention of $23,450.00 will be released after Board of Directors approval and the recording of the Notice of Completion. The retention account numbers, account descriptions and amounts withheld are shown in the table below.

Strategic Plan Goal:
The City of Victorville Strategic Plan 2023-2026 identifies multi-year strategic goals and various strategies to work toward achieving those goals. The Roof Replacement for Various Facilities, Project CC25-014 aligns with Strategic Goal E. Investment in Infrastructure. This roof restoration project will provide a long-term roofing solution to existing infrastructure ensuring staff safety and asset protection.

Background:
On October 15, 2024, the Board of Directors unanimously awarded a construction agreement to Rite-Way Roofing in the amount of $469,000.00 for the Roof Replacement for Various Facilities, Project CC25-014. There were no change orders executed during the course of construction.
Discussion:
The Roof Replacement for Various Facilities, Project CC25-014 was completed on January 15, 2025, within the contract expiration date and to the satisfaction of staff. Roofs were replaced at the following five Victorville Water District locations: Avenal Plant, Well 203, El Evado Plant, Balsam Plant, and D1 Water Yard. Therefore, staff is requesting the approval and filing of the Notice of Completion for this project (Attachment B).
