Discussion and possible action to direct the City Manager to purchase a tiered sponsorship package on behalf of the City for Pride Week 2025 and Pride Prom 2025, to be held in June 2025 at Victor Valley College and that the sponsorship for each event not exceed $5,000
Recommendation:
Any action is at the discretion of Your Honorable City Council.
Fiscal Impact:
At this time, there is no fiscal impact associated with this item, however, if approved at the not to exceed amount of $5,000 for each event, the fiscal impact could be $10,000.
An additional appropriation from the general fund to City Council fund 1001220 will be required.
Background:
At the City Council meeting of February 18, 2025, it was moved by Council Member Irving, with majority approval, to agendize an item for discussion and possible action to direct the City Manager to purchase a tiered sponsorship package on behalf of the City for Pride Week 2025 and Pride Prom 2025, to be held in June 2025 at Victor Valley College and that the sponsorship for each event not exceed $5,000.

This item is being presented to Council so that Council can further discuss whether or not to direct the City Manager to purchase a tiered sponsorship package on behalf of the City for Pride Week 2025 and Pride Prom 2025, to be held in June 2025 at Victor Valley College and that the sponsorship for each event not exceed $5,000. Information regarding the sponsorships are attached for your review.
