Strategic Plan Goal:
The City of Victorville Strategic Plan 2023-2026 identifies multi-year strategic goals and various strategies to work towards achieving those goals. Goal A, Financial Sustainability, focuses on fostering fiscal health through disciplined long-term planning, cost control, increased revenues, and cost recovery. Specific to this item, Strategy 3 focuses on maintaining adequate reserves in the general fund in order to protect against fluctuations in the economy, unexpected expenses, and to meet or exceed the Government Finance Officers Association recommended standard. The data in this report can assist the Council in monitoring development activity for fluctuations due to economic conditions and other factors.
Background:
Staff has compiled the attached Building Department Activity Report for the first quarter of the 2025 calendar year.
Discussion:
The attached Building Department Activity report includes information regarding permit and licensing activity and revenue for construction, single family residences, new commercial and industrial businesses, as well as miscellaneous issued permits and licenses for the Building, Business License and Fire Prevention Divisions of the Building Department.
