RESOLUTION NO. 25 -037
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VICTORVILLE,
ACCEPTING A DONATION OF FUNDS FROM BENEFIT EVERYONE, ASSIST
RECREATION AND SPORTS FOR THE PURCHASE OF TWELVE NEW
SCORERBOARDS AND AMENDING THE ANNUAL BUDGET FOR FISCAL YEAR 2024-2025
WHEREAS, the non -profit organization, Benefit Everyone, Assist Recreation & Sports (B.E.A.R.S.) has agreed to donate funding in an amount not-to-exceed $137,275.75 for the purchase of twelve (12) new scoreboards to be installed at various city parks; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager of the City of Victorville did heretofore submit to the City Council an estimate of the expenditures and revenues of the City departments and offices, together with a proposed budget for the fiscal year 2024-2025; and
WHEREAS, copies of said budget were prepared and distributed to the City Council, approved by the City Council prior to June 30, 2024 and have been available for the inspection by the public in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Victorville; and WHEREAS, after preparation of the budget, a need to amend the budget is being recommended to the Council for approval; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager or his designee will provide all necessary justification for the budget amendment as an attachment to this resolution or in the associated City Council agenda report.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VICTORVILLE DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The recitals set forth above are true and correct and are hereby incorporated in their entirety as part of this Resolution by this reference.
SECTION 2. The City of Victorville is authorized to accept a donation from B.E.A.R.S. for this purchase in an amount not-to-exceed $137,275.75.
SECTION 3. That the annual budget for the fiscal year 2024- 2025 for the City of Victorville be hereby amended to reflect a change in the amounts and associated accounts listed below and as described in the corresponding Agenda Item.

SECTION 4. That copies of such amended budget, certified by the City Clerk, shall be filed with the auditors of the City of Victorville and in the office of the City Clerk for public inspection and certified copies thereof shall be made available for use by City departments, offices and subsidiary districts of the City.
SECTION 5. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
