A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
VICTORVILLE AMENDING THE ANNUAL BUDGET FOR FISCAL YEAR
2025-2026; APPROVING ADDITIONAL EXPENDITURE
APPROPRIATIONS AND ADDITIONAL REVENUE FOR T HE
RECTANGULAR RAPID FLASHING BEACONS PROJECT
WHEREAS, the City Manager of the City of Victorville did heretofore submit to the City Council an estimate of the expenditures and revenues of the City Departments and offices, together with a proposed budget for the fiscal year 2025-2026; and WHEREAS, copies of said budget were prepared and distributed to the City Council, were approved by the City Council on June 3, 2025, and have been available for the inspection by the public in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Victorville; and WHEREAS, after preparation of the budget, notification was received of funding approval for a Highway Safety Improvement Program Cycle 11 grant in the amount of One Hundred Forty -Nine Thousand, Three Hundred Ten Dollars ($149,310) for t he Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacons Project; and
WHEREAS, staff recognized the cost of construction not covered by the grant deems it necessary to amend the Capital Improvement Budget for fiscal year 2025-2026 to appropriate Measure I funds in the amount of Four Hundred Sixty-Five Thousand Dollars ($465,000) for the Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacons Project; and WHEREAS, the City Manager or his designee will provide all necessary justification for the budget amendment as an attachment to this resolution or in the associated City Council Agenda Item Staff Report; and
WHEREAS, the City Council, wishes to amend the annual budget as set forth in this Resolution, memorialize the acceptance of the grant and recognize the associated increase in revenue and expenditures.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VICTORVILLE , CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the annual budget for the fiscal year 2025-2026 for the City of Victorville is hereby amended to reflect revenue in the Highway Safety Improvement Program account No. 2704500-43110-62071 in the amount of One Hundred Forty-Nine Thousand, Three Hundred Ten Dollars ($149,310) ; the expenditure in account No. 2704500-55330-62071 in the amount of One Hundred Forty -Nine Thousand, Three Hundred Ten Dollars ($149,310), and in the Measure I account No. 2504500-55330- 62071, an expenditure in the amount of Four Hundred Sixty-Five Thousand ($465,000) as shown below and as more fully described in the corresponding Agenda Item Staff Report for the Council Meeting of September 2, 2025.

SECTION 2. That the City Council affirm acceptance of the grant funds for the Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacons Project and authorize the City Manager or his designee to execute said grant as further described in the above- referenced Agenda Item Staff Report for the Council Meeting of September 2, 2025.
SECTION 3. That copies of such amended budget, certified by the City Clerk, shall be filed with the auditors of the City of Victorville and in the office of the City Clerk for public inspection and certified copies thereof shall be made available for use by City Departments, offices and subsidiary districts of the City.
SECTION 4. That this Resolution becomes effective immediately upon its adoption.
