As we move through the quarter, I want to take a moment to highlight some of the important efforts and progress made across the Victorville Fire Department. A major highlight was the placement of three new transport capable squads into service at Fire Stations 311, 312, and 315. These units will strengthen our emergency medical response across the city.

The health and well-being of our firefighters remain a top priority. The department successfully completed the annual NFPA 1582 wellness physicals, ensuring our personnel continue to meet the highest standards of fitness for duty. In addition, members of our CARE Team, along with Human Resources and Command Staff, recently toured First Responder Wellness to explore enhanced mental health and wellness support services for our personnel. These proactive measures are part of our ongoing commitment to supporting the whole health of every member of our organization.

Recruitment efforts are currently underway in anticipation of the start of our new training tower, scheduled for early July. This addition will greatly expand our in-house training capabilities, providing firefighters with the opportunity to strengthen their skills in a realistic, controlled environment.

In preparation for the upcoming wildfire season, all Victorville Firefighters successfully completed their RT-130 annual wildland refresher training. This essential training ensures that our personnel remain sharp, safe, and ready to respond to the challenges of wildland fire incidents.

I continue to meet regularly with the Confire team to stay up to date on developments related to the ambulance contract. Maintaining strong collaboration and open communication with our regional partners remains a key focus to ensure seamless service delivery for our community.

I am proud of the professionalism, dedication, and teamwork demonstrated by every member of the Victorville Fire Department. Thank you for your continued commitment to excellence and service. 2 N D Q U A R T E R
