RESOLUTION NO. 25-077
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VICTORVILLE AMENDING THE ANNUAL BUDGET FOR FISCAL YEAR 202 5-2026; APPROVING AN
ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATION OF THE MEASURE P FUND AND DIF
RECREATION FUND FOR PHASE III OF THE DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION OF A
NEW POLICE STATION AND CIVIC PLAZA
WHEREAS, the City Manager of the City of Victorville did heretofore submit to the City Council an estimate of the expenditures and revenues of the City departments and offices, together with a proposed budget for the fiscal year 2025-2026; and
WHEREAS, copies of said budget were prepared and distributed to the City Council, were approved by the City Council on June 17, 2025, and have been available for the inspection by the public in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Victorville; and
WHEREAS, on May 18, 2022, the City issued a Request for Proposals for Design Services for the Design and Construction of a New Police Station and Civic Plaza and to identify the best suitable site for the New Police Station and Civic Plaza;
WHEREAS, on March 21, 2023, the City Council approved a Consultant/Professional Services Provider Agreement with LPA, Inc. for the Design and Construction of a New Police Station and Civic Plaza;
WHEREAS, on or about November 8, 2023, Amendment One (1) was issued to the Original Agreement to amend the expiration date to June 30, 2024;
WHEREAS, on May 20, 2024, the City Council approved the second amendment to the Consultant Professional Services Agreement with LPA , Inc. for completion of Phase I and Phase II;
WHEREAS, on or about June 29, 2025, Amendment Three (3) was issued to the Original Agreement to revise Section 6, Term of Agreement expiration date to June 30, 2026, in order to complete the project; and
WHEREAS, the fiscal year 2025 -2026 budget requires amending the expenditures in the amount of Five Million Four Hundred and Forty --Five Thousand Eight Hundred and Forty-Nine Dollars ($5,445,849.00), to fund Phase III of the Design and Construction of a New Police Station and Civic Plaza.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VICTORVILLE DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the annual budget for fiscal year 2025-2026 for the City of Victorville
be hereby amended to reflect a change in the amounts and associated accounts listed below and as described in the corresponding Agenda Item.
SECTION 2. That copies of such amended budget, certified by the City Clerk, shall be filed with the auditors of the City of Victorville and in the office of the City Clerk for public inspection and certified copies thereof shall be made available for use by City departments, offices and subsidiary districts of the City.
SECTION 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
