Public Works and Water Quarterly Report for the Fourth Quarter of Fiscal Year 2025 Recommendation:
That the Honorable City Council review and file the attached Public Works and Water Quarterly Report.
Fiscal Impact:
There is no fiscal impact associated with this item.
Strategic Plan Goal:
This item aligns with Strategic Plan Goal C, Community and Economic Development, as the Public Works Team including staff from Environmental Programs, Streets, and Open Space has implemented cleanup initiatives and increased maintenance efforts throughout Old Town, resulting in an improved appearance for the area. It also supports Strategic Plan Goal E, Invest in Infrastructure, as crews continue working daily to maintain and enhance public infrastructure that contributes to a healthy and livable community.
Discussion:
The City’s Public Works and Water Department is comprised of the Environmental Programs, Fleet Services, Street Maintenance, Wastewater Collections, Water Field Services, and Water Supply Divisions. Department staff provide quarterly updates summarizing key activities, operational highlights, and performance indicators for each division.
Staff are available to answer any questions the City Council may have.
