Possible cancellation of the Regular City Council Meeting of March 17, 2026 Recommendation:
Any action is at the discretion of the City Council.
Fiscal Impact:
There is no fiscal impact associated with this item.
Discussion:
On June 17, 2025, the City Council took action to approve the Fiscal Year 2025-2026 Training – Travel Schedule for City Council Members. As part of that approval, Council Members were authorized to attend the National League of Cities – Congressional City Conference scheduled for March 16-18, 2026, in Washington D.C. Due to attendance at said conference, there will not be quorum for the City Council meeting of March 17, 2026.
Pursuant to Chapter 3, Section III, B of the City Council Policy and Procedure Manual, any regular or special meeting of the Council may be cancelled in advance by a majority vote; therefore, staff recommends cancellation of the March 17, 2026, meeting.
