ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT WRAPS UP
2025 KEEP IT LOCAL, SHOP VICTORVILLE CAMPAIGN
Economic Development staff wrapped up the second
annual Keep it Local, Shop Victorville campaign in
December 2025, recognizing seven local businesses as
Victorville’s Hidden Gems. The seven-week social
media campaign invites residents to nominate and
vote for their favorite local businesses through a
bracket-style competition. Winners listed on page 5
received a plaque honoring their accomplishment.

This fun campaign promotes shopping local and
highlights the unique businesses in our community.

NEW COMMERCIAL DEVELOPMENTS COMING TO VICTORVILLE
The City of Victorville continues to experience economic growth, supported by several new commercial developments that have recently been approved or are currently in the development phase.

Victorville Planning Commission recently
approved the development of a 5,900-square-
foot Walt’s Frozen Custard & Burgers
restaurant, to be located west of Locust
Avenue and Bear Valley Road, adjacent to the
existing Dunkin’ Donuts.

A new 4-story Wyndham Garden Hotel is

Walmart next to Hawthorn Suites. This addition
will provide more lodging options for visitors,
supporting the City’s growing hospitality and
commercial development.

The Mall of Victor Valley is excited to welcome
Round 1 Bowling & Arcade to the former Sears
location. Offering bowling, arcade games,

a vibrant new entertainment option to our
community and is an exciting addition to our
City.

The Planning Commission approved a Target
shopping center on Roy Rogers Drive and
Amargosa Road, adjacent to the existing Home
Depot shopping center. This development will
expand retail options and add to the City’s
growing commercial corridor.

Since June 1, 2025, the Planning Department has
approved three residential parcel maps and a total of
158 single-family lots. The City currently has eight
developers actively building across twelve active tracts, with additional tract development anticipated in the

throughout the year to connect
with local businesses and raise
awareness about the importance of
shopping local.

As part of that goal, the Economic
