Changes to Benefits
It was discovered recently that the shift Battalion Chiefs were earning annual vacation credits and sick leave at the same rate afforded to our represented employees in the current Memorandum of Understanding. This error was caused by an oversight when the accrual rates were input into the system at the time of hire for the Battalion Chiefs. Since the shift Battalion Chiefs are expected to work the same 48/96 shift schedule as our represented employees, it was decided that it would be appropriate to provide the same accrual rates that are afforded to our represented employees.
Staff is requesting your favorable consideration for this item and remains available for any questions or comments.
