RESOLUTION NO. 26-007
A RESOLUTION TO THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VICTORVILLE AMENDING THE ANNUAL BUDGET FOR FISCAL YEAR 2025-2026 FOR AN ADDITIONAL
APPROPRIATION
WHEREAS, the City Manager of the City of Victorville did heretofore submit to the City Council an estimate of the expenditures of the City Departments and offices, together with a proposed budget for the fiscal year 2025-2026; and WHEREAS, copies of said budget were prepared and distributed to the City Council, approved by the City Council prior to June 3, 2025, and have been available for the inspection by the public in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Victorville; and WHEREAS, after preparation of the budget, a need to amend the budget is being recommended to the City Council for approval; and
WHEREAS, the City of Victorville receives grant funding annually for the Supplemental Law Enforcement Services Fund (SLESF), where said funds must be spent exclusively on front-line municipal police services, pursuant to Assembly Bill 3229; and WHEREAS, Resolution No. 26-007 is amending the fiscal year 2025-2026 budget to provide funding for the acquisition of portable radios, which are two-way devices that ensure clear audio, support both digital and analog modes, and offer multiple channels and zones for the organization; and
WHEREAS, expense fund is being budgeted for portable radios; and WHEREAS, from this point forward, funds received for the Supplemental Law Enforcement Services Fund (SLESF) will be budgeted annually; and WHEREAS, the City Manager or his designee will provide all necessary justification for the budget amendment as an attachment to this resolution or in the associated City Council Agenda report.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VICTORVILLE DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1.
That the annual budget for the fiscal year 2025-2026 for the City of Victorville is hereby amended to reflect a change in the amount and the associated account listed below and as described in the corresponding Agenda Item.

Section 2. That the associated expense amount reflects funding necessary for the project described in the corresponding Agenda Item.

Section 3. Those copies of such amended budget, certified by the City Clerk, shall be filed with the auditors of the City of Victorville and in the office of the City Clerk for public inspection and certified copies thereof shall be made available for use by City departments, offices, and subsidiary districts of the City.
