In 2025, Building Department permits and revenue declinedin several categories, largely due to market conditions.Despite this, multiple commercial and industrial projects havealready been entitled and submitted for plan review at thebeginning of the year. This should position the Departmentfor increased activity and revenue moving forward.

The Business License Division performed strongly, with asignificant increase in new business licenses and steadyrevenue from business license renewals.

The Fire Prevention Division has remained steady andanticipates an increase in commercial and industrial projectsin early 2026.

Overall, while 2025 reflected softer revenue in some areas, the outlook for the coming year remains positive with strongdevelopment activity already in the pipeline.
