RESOLUTION NO. 26-009
A RESOLUTION TO THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VICTORVILLE ACCEPTING THE CALIF ORNIA S TATE LUNCH AT THE LIBRARY SUMMER 2026 PROJECT GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF $15, 750; AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER OR HIS DESIGNEE TO EXECUTE ALL GRANT DOCUMENTS AND ADMINISTER THE OVERALL PROJEC T; AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER
OR DESIGNEE TO MAKE ANY NECESSARY AMENDMENTS TO THE AGREEMENT
AS DEEMED NECESSARY
WHEREAS, the City of Victorville 2023-2026 Strategic Plan, Goal F provides for the exploration of opportunities to add or modify community events and activities; and WHEREAS, the California State Library has awarded the City $15, 750 to launch the Lunch at the Library Summer 2026 Project; and
WHEREAS, the City desires to enter
into the Grant Agreement with the California
State Library for the implementation of the Lunch at the Library Summer 2026 Project.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CI TY CO UNCIL OF T HE CI TY O F VICTORVILLE DO ES HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:

ection 1. Recitals
T he recitals set forth above are true and correct and are hereby incorporated by this reference.
Section 2. Contract Agreement
T he City Council hereby authorizes the execution of the contract between the City and the California State Library to accept and use the Lunch at the Library Summer 2026 Project funding to administer the Lunch at the Library project at the City Library.
Section 3. City Manager Authority
T he City Council hereby delegates to the City Manager or his designee the role of Signature Authority on behalf of the City to execute all grant documents necessary to secure the Lunch at the Library funds and administer the approved project, including the execution of agreements necessary to administer the approved grant project and budgeted items provided no contracts exceed the City Manager Contract Author ity provided by Section 2.28.060 of the Victorville Municipal Code.
Section 4. Effective Date
This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
