Cancellation of the July 7, 2026 and August 4, 2026 Regular City Council Meetings Recommendation:
Any action is at the discretion of Your Honorable City Council.
Fiscal Impact:
There is no fiscal impact associated with this item.
Discussion:
Pursuant to Chapter 3, Section III B of the City Council Policy and Procedure Manual, any regular or special meeting of the Council may be cancelled in advance by a majority vote of the Council during a prior meeting of the Council. Due to the close proximity to the July 4th holiday, staff taking vacations after the budget adoption, and the absence of business items scheduled for the July 7, 2026, meeting, staff recommends cancellation of that meeting. Additionally, due to National Night Out occurring on August 4, 2026, and the lack of scheduled business items for that date, staff further recommends cancellation of the August 4, 2026, meeting. However, any action is at the discretion of Your Honorable City Council.
