2026 Mandatory Conflict of Interest Code Review
Recommendation:
That the City Council direct the City Clerk to conduct a review of the Conflict of Interest Codes for the City of Victorville, the Southern California Logistics Airport Authority, the Victorville Joint Powers Financing Authority, the Victorville Library Board of Trustees, the Successor Agency to the Victorville Redevelopment Agency and the Victorville Water District to determine if any changes are necessary.

There is no fiscal impact associated with this item.
Discussion:
The Political Reform Act requires every local government agency to review its Conflict of Interest Code biennially to determine if it is accurate or if the Code must be amended.
The City Council must notify each City agency to review its Code, therefore, it is requested that the City Council direct the City Clerk to conduct a review of the Conflict of Interest Code for the City of Victorville, the Southern California Logistics Airport Authority, the Victorville Joint Powers Financing Authority, the Victorville Library Board of Trustees, the Successor Agency to the Victorville Redevelopment Agency and the Victorville Water District. The City Council will be advised if any changes to the Code are necessary prior to October 1, 2026, pursuant to the provisions of the Political Reform Act.
