Air Expressway is an east-west corridor that connects National T rails Highway to US-395. The project scope of work will cover a segment of the road from National Trails Highway to George Boulevard. This existing section of road was last improved by the City In 2005. Air Expressway Is designated as one of the City's truck routes, resulting in high volumes of truck traffic between the SCLA and the surrounding business and Interstate 15. This project will address the significant deterioration the road has experienced by providing a full restoration of this segment of road. Restoring the pavement will result In a smoother and safer driving surface for the approximately 21,000 vehicles that use this arterial road daily. Furthermore, this project has been deferred from previous budgets, highlighting the ur
gency of addressing the deteriorating condition.
This project has not been budgeted and is planned to be in the FY 2027/28 Budget. Preparation of plans, specifications, and engineering for the advertisement and construction of this project will take place when funding is approved to support these costs.
