Recommendation:
That the Honorable City Council approve the Satisfaction and Release of the Land Division Improvement Construction Agreement for Parcel Map No. 19696.
Fiscal Impact:
There is no fiscal impact as a result of this action.
Strategic Plan Goal:
This item aligns with Goal E, “Invest in Infrastructure,” in the City of Victorville Strategic Plan 2023-2026. Although this is not a Capital Improvement Project, the City applies the same strategy to private development projects, as these projects are essential to meeting the community’s needs.
Background:
Parcels 1 and 2 of Parcel Map No. 19696 are located on Silica Drive, east of Hesperia Road. On August 3, 2016, AGC Flat Glass North America, Inc., formerly AFG Industries, Inc., a Delaware corporation, entered into a Land Division Improvement Construction Agreement with the City. The agreement required the construction of various public improvements, including curb and gutter along the Silica Drive frontage, as well as private utility improvements, including communication and natural gas service facilities.
Discussion:
The improvements required by the Land Division Improvement Construction Agreement, recorded on August 3, 2016, as Document No. 2016-0311949, have been completed to the satisfaction of the Assistant City Engineer. The property owner has requested the release of the agreement. Therefore, staff recommends that the City Council approve the Satisfaction and Release of the Land Division Improvement Construction Agreement for Parcel Map No. 19696.
