Subject:

Darktrace Cybersecurity Services – Vendor Change from Transource Services Corporation to Nth Generation
Recommendation:

That Your Honorable City Council approve a Consultant/Professional Services Provider Agreement with Nth Generation to provide the City’s Darktrace cybersecurity services, reflecting the vendor name change from Transource Services Corporation to Nth Generation as identified in the Fiscal Year 2026–2027 Contract Renewals – Annual Supply and Service Provider Agreements list previously approved by City Council.

Fiscal Impact:

If approved, this action will result in a fiscal impact of $158,640.12. Funds have been budgeted in 1001555-52300 Tech Infrastructure – Contract Services, therefore, no additional appropriation is required for this item.

Description Org - Obj Code Amount
Tech Infrastructure – Contract Services 1001555 - 52300 $158,640.12 Strategic Plan Goal:

Goal E - Invest in Infrastructure: by maintaining the City’s assets through investment in infrastructure and innovations. Continuing the City’s Darktrace cybersecurity services supports this goal by maintaining the tools, appliances, licensing, and support used to monitor and protect the City’s network and email environments. These services sustain an existing security capability and support the ongoing resilience of the City’s technology infrastructure.

Background:

On June 16, 2026, the City Council approved the Fiscal Year 2026–2027 (FY27) Contract Renewals – Annual Supply and Service Provider Agreements, which listed Transource Services Corporation (Transource) as the provider for the City’s Darktrace cybersecurity services. The cooperative purchasing agreement previously used with Transource is no longer in effect. Darktrace advised that the services be provided by Nth Generation under Climb Channel Solutions’ OMNIA Partners agreement. This item updates the vendor’s name for the City’s Darktrace cybersecurity services; the services and costs will remain unchanged.

Discussion:

The City’s current Darktrace cybersecurity services agreement expires on October 31, 2026. In the FY27 Contract Renewals – Annual Supply and Service Provider Agreements approved June 16, 2026, Transource was listed as the vendor for the renewal. During renewal coordination, the City was advised that the cooperative purchasing agreement previously used with Transource is no longer in effect and that the services should be provided by Nth Generation under Climb Channel Solutions’ OMNIA Partners Contract 01-130. The requested vendor change and agreement approval will allow the City’s Darktrace cybersecurity services to continue without interruption and without changes to the existing service scope or cost.

Therefore, staff requests that the City Council approve a Consultant/Professional Services Provider Agreement with Nth Generation for the City’s Darktrace cybersecurity services, replacing Transource as the vendor identified in the previously approved FY 2026–2027 Contract Renewals – Annual Supply and Service Agreements.

Staff will remain available for any questions or comments.
