CALL TO ORDER / ROLL CALL - Mayor Wu called the General Session to order at 4:00
COUNCILMEMBERS
PRESENT: Miles, Jones, McBride, Mayor Pro Tem Frackelton, and Mayor Wu ABSENT: None
*Mayor Pro Tem Frackelton participated virtually through zoom.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE TO THE FLAG - The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Councilmember Jones.
PUBLIC COMMENTS
Mayor Wu opened public comments. Seeing no speakers, Mayor Wu closed the public comments.
NEW BUSINESS
Resolution of The City Council of the City of Villa Park Providing for the Appointment to the Offices of this City that were to be Elected on Tuesday, November 3, 2026 and Cancelling the City Election on that date.
City Manager Steve Franks presented a brief staff report on the item as detailed in the public agenda report.
Councilmember Jones and Mayor Wu recused themselves due to conflict of interest.
A motion was made by Councilmember Miles, seconded by Councilmember McBride and was approved by the following roll call vote to:
1. Appoint the eligible incumbent candidates to fill the open offices and cancel the City's election; and
2. Adopt Resolution 2026-3655

ABSENT: None
ABSTAIN: Jones and Wu
Motion Passed.
