The munition carried by members of the Visalia
Police Department is a Defense Technology 12-
Gauge Drag Stabilized Bean Bag Round. The 12-
Gauge shell is loaded with a 40 gram, tear shaped
bag made from a cotton/ballistic blend and filled
with #9 shot.

The effective range of this munition is 20-75 feet.

The Drag Stabilized™ 12-Gauge Round is a
translucent 12-Gauge shell loaded with a 40-Gram
tear shaped bag made from a cotton and ballistic
material blend and filled with #9 shot. This design
utilizes four stabilizing tails and utilizes smokeless
powder as the propellant. The 12-Gauge Drag
Stabilized Round has secured its place as the Law
Enforcement Communities’ number one choice for
specialty impact munitions. This round has a
velocity of 270 fps.

Def-Tec Pocket Tactical Smoke- The Pocket
Tactical CS Grenade is small, and lightweight. The

0.9 oz. of active agent will burn approximately 20-
40 seconds. This is a launchable grenade; however
it is normally used as a signaling or covering
device.

The diversoinary device can be hand deployed or
by using a pole designed to hold the device securely
so that the device can be deployed in elecated
locations or where hand deployment would not be
desirable.

The Low Roll® Distraction Device® is a
reloadable gun steel body with hex design. This
newest version of the first reusable non-bursting
canisters limits movement and rolling once
deployed. The diameter of the hex design body is

2.0 in., 5.0 cm. overall length is 5.0 in., 12.7 cm.

The Low Roll bodies’ ergonomic features
complement its powerful output of light, sound and
twelve top port configuration which results in an
even distribution of gases from the opposing ends
of the canister. The distinctive shape and
capabilities are tools for dynamic entries for police,
corrections, and military tactical teams worldwide.
