Good afternoon, my name is Craig MacDonald and I reside at 3038 E. Beech Ct., in Visalia. I was recently notified that to the south of me a tentative subdivision "Higgins Ranch" Annexation No. 2021-03 is being planned. My wife and I strongly oppose this project. RM 5 zoning would be apartments and townhouses. We're burdened with the two story monopoly homes to the north of us and now the possibility of 174 of these "homes" which will really be rentals to the south. All these homes in such a small area will kill our home's value. There's also no infrastructure to support it.
I've always known something would be built there but 174 homes is way to many in a small area and not needed. Plus the developer has had numerous questionable legal issues and doesn't need to come destroy my neighborhood with this project. He's got plenty of open land near his own home to build a project like this...
