Vic Ramante, Visalia spoke about short term rentals, specifically the Air BnB businesses. His neighborhood has a few homes that are short term rentals. He feels like he is living next door to a hotel. These types of short term rentals are affecting home values in Visalia.
Pamela Silva, Visalia, spoke about a movie and drag show that was supposed to be held at the Fox Theatre on September 3, 2022; however, it was moved to a different location. This show was targeting young people in the community. She would like to see the current municipal code changed to prevent shows of this type targeting our youth.
Travis Hamilton, Principal of Oak Grove School, thanked the Council and city staff for the newly installed blacktop pathway that connects two existing sidewalks for a safe route to school on foot and on bicycles. A big thank you to Council and the Public Works Department.
