RESOLUTION CITY OF VISALIA
APPROVING THE APPLICATION FOR GRANT FUNDS FOR FEDERAL AVIATION ADMINISTRATION MANDATED PAVEMENT MAINTENANCE MANAGEMENT PROGRAM(PMMP) AT THE VISALIA AIRPORT _____________________________________
WHEREAS: The Aeronautics division of Caltrans maintains an Airport Improvement Program for state matching grant opportunities, intended to fund 5% of Federal Aviation Administration funded airport improvement projects; and WHEREAS: The City of Visalia Airport has a Federal Aviation Administration required and funding approved PMMP project planned for the 2022-2023 fiscal year; and WHEREAS: the Aeronautics division of Caltrans requires a resolution certifying the approval of application(s) by the Applicants governing board before submission of said application(s) to the STATE; and WHEREAS: the Applicant, if selected will enter into an agreement with the State of California to carry out the project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the CITY OF VISALIA Approves the filing of the application for Caltrans Aeronautics State grant matching funds for the PMMP project; and Certifies that Applicant understands the assurances and certification in the application; and Certifies that Applicant or title holder will have sufficient funds to operate and maintain the project consistent with the funding requirements; and Certifies that it will comply with all applicable California Labor Codes; and If applicable, certifies that the project will comply with any laws and regulations including, but not limited to the California Environmental Quality Act, legal requirements for building codes, heath and safety codes, and disabled access laws, and that prior to any construction all applicable permits will have been obtained; and Certifies that Applicant will work towards the State Planning Priorities intended to promote equity, strengthen the economy, protect the environment, and promote public health and safety; and Appoints the City Manager, or designee as agent to conduct all negotiations, execute and submit all documents including but not limited to, applications, agreements, payment requests and son on, which may be necessary for the completion of the aforementioned projects.
Approved and adopted the ___day of ___2023 I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution Number 2023_XX was duly adopted by the Council of the City of Visalia.
