Addendum No. 01 is being issued to answer questions received pertaining to the project and to provide maps of proposed areas of analysis. This addendum becomes part of the Contract Documents for the above project and must be signed and submitted with the Proposal.
ITEM 1: QUESTIONS/RESPONSES
Q1. What is the estimated budget for this project?
R1. This project has an estimated budget of $60,000.
Q2. Has the City done a market analysis? Is that an expectation of the project? R2. A recent market analysis has not been completed. Yes, that would be expected as part of the project.
Q3. Is there any interest in understanding what the needs are? R3. Yes, proposers can include this information in their analysis. The City of Visalia would be particularly interested in growing the manufacturing sector.
Q4. Is the Economic Strategic Plan 2021 referenced in the proposal available to view? R4. ESP may be found at: https://share.visalia.city/message/T3PhBSbfD2Sa2PIMb9vOOA
Q5. Is there a time for completion expected?
R5. The expectation would be a completed study by April or May of 2024 but this could be discussed with the selected consultant.
Q6. Has there been any update to the General Plan?
R6. There has not been an update to the General Plan.
Q7. Is there an acceptance process or any other approvals needed besides the City Council? R7. No other approvals are required for this project; however it may be appropriate to present draft study to the City of Visalia Planning Commission for review and comments.
Q8. Is the consultant expected to interview stakeholders? R8. The Economic Development Manager will assist with interviewing stakeholders.
