Experience the power of water – this can
be achieved particularly well by damming
water and then opening the floodgates.
It is most fun when natural materials
such as mud, leaves and small sticks are
used to dam the water. However, this is
often not possible or desired. Therefore,
complementary elements such as locks or
flaps are required.

Function and Play value
Even small children can operate our
new lever pump and convey water. The
pump resistance as well as the flow rate
per stroke can be varied. The design and
easy operation make it very suitable for
children. Hydraulic oil (food safe) is pum-
ped in an enclosed circuit. The degree of
pumping difficulty can be adjusted to a
child’s strength. The flowing hydraulic oil
opens the water valve for a short period
of time and then automatically – can also
be adjusted – closes again. The water is
of drinking quality up until the water
leaves the valve; there is no residual
water left in the pump.

Function and Play value
It is not immediately clear for what
purpose these funny coloured mushroom
heads can be used. When the two
handles, inviting a hands on activity, are
pushed down powerfully, an internal
piston sends a far-reaching water jet
through the spray head. The whole spray
head can be turned around 360°. So it
is possible to „chase“ others with the
water jet and to make them wet as long
as they are within reach. For reasons
of fairness, the Splash Pumps should
be installed in pairs, if possible, so that
others can defend themselves. A fixed
direction Splash Pump is also available. In
water playgrounds or in swimming pools,
Splash Pumps offer another fine way to
experience water.

Function and Play value
This simple looking equipment is of high
play value, and also a lot of fun. The
unusual way of making water splash is a
delightful surprise, particularly when one
doesn‘t get wet oneself. Depending on
the weight and skill of the participant,
fountain jets reaching a distance of up
to 7 m and a height of up to 4 m can be
achieved by means of jumping up and
down on the discs. It is great fun when
several Water Jets are installed near to
each other so that a real spray competiti-
on can take place.

Play value
Making water move using the strength
of your own body and recognising the
immediate effect of a strong jet of water:
this association becomes the central
experience at the Pedal Pump. The effort-
less operation of the crank fades into the
background; however at the same time
it quickly becomes clear that this is the
initiating action. During intensive play,
the enthusiasm increases by changing
the jet with just a simple turn of the
handlebars. Fixed structures can be used
as targets and movable targets act as an
incentive for intensive effort.

Function and Play value
The See-saw Pump is a very attractive
element on water play areas. One child
can operate the pump by moving his
or her centre of gravity, but also two
children can work together for moving
the pump to and fro. The holding tube
provides safety and helps to coordinate
the movement with the others. The
pump is also available with a lateral
water outlet (special construction) which
can be used as water supply for a small
channel or a gutter. The combination of
the See-saw Pump with a Spraying Head
is especially attractive.

Function and Play value
Those playing on the Forest Fountain
system can experience a wide range of
spatial and sensory effects of the medium
water as a result of their own physical
activities. The height of the masts and
length of the pipelines enables the water
to achieve the greatest possible spraying
effect, while the jets and rotors create
different, continuously changing shapes
and structures. The contrast, created by
the strictly geometrical masts and pumps,
contributes to the aesthetics of the
overall design.

These stylised tree shapes with their dif-
ferent sound leaves, sound branches and
drums are particularly suited to parks and
atmospheric gardens. Exciting music can
be experienced when played together.
The sounds range from the melancholic
sound of the Steeldrum to the cheerful
one of the Sound Leaf. These robust
objects can be played by hand or with
the attached hammers.
Sound Leaf
The individual sound plates have a tone
like the clang of a cymbal. The stylised
leaves are attached to the tree in a way
that they can move freely. They produce
a very cheerful and lively sound.
Sound Tree
The sound bars are like powerful chimes
and represent branches. They are also
used to make xylophones.
Steeldrum
The melodic, sometimes also melancholic
sound of the Steeldrum fascinates
people. It symbolises the wooden drums
that are made from hollowed tree trunks
in many different cultures. The Steeldrum
was first made from old oil barrels after
the Second World War by people from
the Caribbean. Skilful hammering creates
individual areas in the base each having
their own different tone.

this giant stone, which weighs tonnes,
and hum different notes, you can retreat
into a separate, complete world. You can
discover "your" note where resonance
occurs, and this causes a gentle sensation
throughout your whole body. The orga-
nic and striking six to eight sided column
shape is like a natural monument,
something which is nowadays difficult
to find.

Function and Play value
The Dance Chimes connect movement
with experience of sounds. People of
nearly all ages enjoy producing bright
tones by hopping, jumping, or even
dancing.
Few play items produce so much smiling
as this one. Both the spectators and
listeners feel a moment of lightness, joy
and harmony. The strong motivation
produced by the Dance Chimes helps
people to overcome physical inhibitions
and to harmonise uncoordinated move-
ments. However, even arbitrary hopping
produces pleasant sounds which are
pentatonic sequences rather than normal
tones. Nine brass tiles are arranged in a
square with a sound element under each.
These are set into vibration by the energy
of motion and thus produce ringing
tones.
The Dance Chimes are also valuable as
therapeutic equipment for people with a
variety of functional limitations and they
are a very attractive and demanding play
offer for young children.

Play value
With this stone you can create wonderful
notes which resemble the heavenly
sounds of a harp. The precisely measured,
deep cuts enable the stone to produce a
full range of tones. The shorter the cut,
the higher the tone. Different notes up
to an octave apart can be created.
