Project: RFB-22-23-13, Annual Contract for Landscape Maintenance of Quadrant M Bids Due: Tuesday, September 26, 2023, at 11:00 a.m.
This Addendum is being issued to provide additional information regarding this RFB. This Addendum becomes part of the bid document and must be signed and submitted with bid.
ITEM 1: QUESTIONS/ANSWERS
Q.1 I would like to request a copy of the current contract in place for Quadrant M. Response:The contract is currently held by Quality Landscape Construction, a copy of the current pricing is attached. This contract was a temporary emergency contract and the scope of work (services) are not the same as the scope of work for RFB -22-23-13, which includes the updated scope of work.
Q.2 The specs state that awarded contractor needs to obtain an encroachment permit, is that necessary? Response:
Yes, due to the occasional work that may take place in a City median or right of way.
Q.3 Is Saturday/Sunday work acceptable? Response: Only with prior approval from Project manager for some type of special instance.
Q.4 Specs state that trash needs to be picked up weekly. What if it is picked up and then the very next day the area is littered again? Response: The Contractor is obligated to pick up trash weekly. Once in a while there could be a few occasions that the contractor might be called on to clean an area that requires it due to illegal dumping.
Q.5 What is the approximate work start date? Response: Ideally, the contract could begin on November 1 st or no later than December 1st. We start contracts on the 1st of the month. However, the Award of Contract needs to be made by the City Council, bonds and insurance will need to be collected and a contract will need to be fully executed prior to the Contractor proceeding with any work or receiving a purchase order/contract. Therefore, we c annot guarantee the contract will begin on November 1st or December 1st.
Q.6 If any rodent or other pest chemicals will be needed (pg. 15) materials will be extra? Response: The cost of materials shall be included in the bidder’s amount and no extra payment is made for it.
ITEM 2: WAGE CHECK The Prevailing Wages for this work were checked on 9/1 8/23 and there have been no changes to the wages originally advertised with this RFB.
