ORDINANCE NO. 23-0495
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VISALIA AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A LEASE FOR REAL PROPERTY AT 1549 W. MAIN STREET SECTION 1. The City of Visalia has previously maintained leases for certain City-owned real property with Dr. Stephen J. McAuliff for the purpose of allowing Dr. McAuliff to improve the City-owned property for parking purposes. The City has obtained a benefit from the lease in that parking spaces that are available for the public’s use when visiting Mayor’s Park have been developed and maintained at private expense. Dr. McAuliff recently sold the property to Dr. Christopher Wood, DDS, MS. Dr. Wood is interested in continuing the agreement with the City and agrees to all the terms and conditions. The City will continue to benefit from a new lease agreement with Dr. Wood.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VISALIA:
SECTION 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into a lease agreement with Dr. Christopher Wood, DDS, MS on the terms outlined in the draft agreement attached hereto as Exhibit A.
