ORDINANCE NO. 2024-18
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VISALIA
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A LEASE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF VISALIA AND AIR METHODS LLC FOR UP TO FIVE YEARS FOR THEIR PREVIOUSLY LEASED SPACE AT THE VISALIA MUNICIPAL AIRPORT ADMINISTRATION BUILDING WHEREAS, the City of Visalia owns and operates certain real property commonly referred to as the Visalia Municipal Airport and, WHEREAS, the City of Visalia currently leases part of that property to Air Methods LLC for the purposes of air crew living space to support its air ambulance services at the Visalia Municipal Airport on a month to month basis after the previous lease agreement ended and, WHEREAS, Air Methods LLC is a long-time tenant of good standing at the Visalia Municipal Airport and, WHEREAS, the City of Visalia desires to enter into an a lease agreement with Air Methods LLC for three (3) additional years plus two (2) separate one (1) year options for said demised premises potentially extending the agreement five (5) additional years.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VISALIA,
Section 1. The City Manager of the City of Visalia be and is hereby authorized to execute on behalf of the City of Visalia, a Lease Agreement by and between the City of Visalia Municipal Airport as Lessor and Air Methods LLC. as Lessee.
Section 2. This ordinance shall go into effect thirty (30) days after its passage.
