I am writing to express our support for the extension of the Water Conservation Ordinance (Chapter 13.20) at the current Stage (2).
This Ordinance, combined with our award-winning conservation program, has resulted in increased water-use efficiency and significant reductions in water use over a long period.
We recommend additional review and analysis before the next opportunity for the Ordinance to be considered. This may include potential refinement of definitions and prohibitions, water conservation stages, enforcement, and exceptions to ensure the Ordinance continues accomplishing its goals.
We are proud of our partnership with the City of Visalia and look forward to continuing our coordination to support Visalia residents and strengthen water-use efficiency.
