According to the California State Licensing Board, no person shall trim any tree over 15 feet tall or charge an amount in excess of $500.00 that is not duly licensed in accordance with the provisions of Division III, Chapter 9, of the State of California Business and Professions Code and has a current C-27 Landscape Contractor, or a C-61, D-49, Limited Specialty, Tree Service, State of California Contractor’s License.
