ADDENDUM NO. 2

Addendum No. 2 is being issued to provide responses to questions that have been received. This addendum must be signed and submitted with bid.
ITEM 1: QUESTIONS/RFI & RESPONSES
1. PLEASE PROVIDE DETAIL DRAWING FOR IRON MAN GATES, DOUBLE GATES, AND DRIVE GATES. LINE ITEM 3, LINE ITEM 4, LINE ITEM 5.
Response: The City does not have detail drawings for the gates. Gates shall be constructed of like materials that are included in Exhibit L iron fencing standards.
2. PLEASE PROVIDE DETAIL DRAWING FOR CHAIN LINK MAN GATES. LINE ITEM 7, LINE ITEM 8.
Response: The City does not have detail drawings for the gates. Gates shall be constructed of like materials that are included in Exhibit M chain link fencing standards
3. PROJECT SCHEDULE OF 60 DAYS FROM NOTICE TO PROCEED IS INCREIBLY FAST, NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE. WOULD THE CITY ALLOW 120 DAYS FROM NOTICE TO PROCEED FOR THE PROJECT SCHEDULE? Response: The City would be willing to extend the 60 day completion period to 90 days.
4. PLEASE PROVIDE ELECTRICAL DRAWINGS SHOWING EXACT LOCATIONS OF POWER SUPPLY FOR GATE OPERATORS.
Response: Please see attached electrical plans.
5. IF THE CITY WOULD CONSDER PULLING SUPPLYING ELECTRICAL POWER TO GATE OPERATORS FROM THE CONTRACTORS SOW…. THIS WOULD LIKELY SIGNIFICANTLY DECREASE THE COST.
Response: The awarded contractor will be required to pull the electrical power to the gate operators.

6. PLEASE PROVIDE CONCRETE SPECIFICATION FOR FENCE FOUNDATIONS, MOW STRIP AND SIDEWALK. LINE ITEM 1, LINE ITEM 9, LINE ITEM 10.
Response: See Exhibit L iron fencing standards.
7. PLEASE PROVIDE ASPHALT SPECIFICATION FOR ASPHALT PATCH BACK. LINE ITEM 14.
Response: See attached Riverway Sports Park Asphalt Detail.
8. PLEASE PROVIDE A LINE ITEM AND ESTIMATE FOR QUANTITY OF SPRINKLER LATERALS THAT IS ANTICIPATED TO BE EFFECTED BY FENCE LINE.
Response: See attached irrigation plans for quantity.
9. PROVIDE SPRINKLER SPECIFICATIONS: SPACING, PIPE SIZING, SPRINKLER HEAD SPECIFICATION, ETC. NON PROVIDED.
Response: See attached irrigation plans for pipe size and sprinkler specifications
10. PLEASE PROVIDE KNOX BOX / SWITCH SPECIFICATION. NONE PROVIDED.
Response: See attached Knox Box/Switch specifications.
11. PLEASE CONFIRM THAT THERE IS NO BUY AMERICAN CLAUSE FOR THE MATERIALS FOR THIS PROJECT AND THAT IMPORTED MATERIALS ARE ACCEPTABLE.
Response: There is no Buy American requirement for the Riverway Sports Park Fencing project.
12. AS DISCUSSED AT JOB WALK - CITY HAS BEEN MADE AWARE THAT THE ENGINEERS ESTIMATE OF $1,500,000 IS SIGNIFICANTLY UNDER BUDGET. PROJECT IS LIKELY TO EXCEED $4,000,000+. PLEASE CONFIRM CITY IS UNDERSTANDING OF THIS.
Response: The $1,500,000 is an estimate. Depending on availability of funding and the amount of the lowest bid, the City Council may elect to appropriate additional funding or reduce the scope of work through a change order to reduce cost.
13. REGARDING INSTALLING VEHICLE DRIVE GATES AT ALL ENTRANCES TO VARIOUS PARKS: ARE THERE ANY CODES THAT PROHIBIT AN AUTOMATED GATE FROM BEING INSTALLED IN A PRE-EXISTING 18’ CLEAR DRIVEWAY?
Response: No, there is nothing prohibiting automated gates; however, if they are installed across a fire apparatus road then Knox Key Switches will be required, and the gate shall be a minimum of 20’ wide.
