Addendum No. 4 is being issued to extend the bid submittal deadline, provide a REVISED Bid Form and respond to questions. This addendum must be signed and submitted with bid.
ITEM 1: BID SUBMITTAL DEADLINE HAS BEEN EXTENDED
The deadline for submitting a bid for this project RFB-24-25-53, has been extended. Bids are due:
No later than Thursday, June 26, 2025 at 2:00pm.
ITEM 2: QUESTIONS/RESPONSES
1. Per Addendum 2 Item 1 Question 8, where would you like us to allocate the price for the " ESTIMATE
FOR QUANTITY OF SPRINKLER LATERALS THAT IS ANTICIPATED TO BE EFFECTED BY FENCE LINE"? There is no updated Bid Form to allocate the cost please advise.
Response: The Bid Form has been REVISED and included with this Addendum. Bidder shall remove pages 12, 13 and 14 of the original RFB document and replace with the REVISED BID FORM PAGES included with this Addendum. Bidder is instructed to submit bid on the REVISED BID PAGES.
Please note that because this was inserted to the Bid Form as Item 3, all other Bid item numbers after that have been renumbered.
2. Can you please provide clarification on this project? Exhibit L for Wrought Iron Fencing calls for 1'' x 14 GA picket, 2'' x 3/16'' rail, and 4'' x 3/16'' post. These are not offered as a standard product from any of my suppliers. This product will have to be custom-fabricated and will take a significant amount of time and extra expense. In the interest of keeping to the proposed project schedule and budget, will the owner consider utilizing a standard panel from one of the industry suppliers with a 16 GA picket, 14 GA rail, and a 11 GA post?

Response: We will not consider changing our specification since we are using the Caltrans specification for material used on Hwy 198 and our East Side Regional Park wells which is stronger and has not been vandalized for access.
