ANNUAL CONTRACT FOR LANDSCAPE & IRRIGATION SERVICES
ADDENDUM NO. 1
Issued: April 30, 2026
Submittals Due: 10:00 AM ON THURSDAY, MAY 7, 2026
Addendum No. 1 is hereby issued to provide responses to questions received regarding this project and to revise the Bid Sheet by removing Item No. 3 related to the licensed electrician requirement. This addendum must be signed and submitted with bid.
ITEM 1: Removal of line item
The attached revised Bid Sheet has been modified to remove the line item (3) for rates related to a licensed electrician.
Bidders shall use the amended Bid Sheet when preparing and submitting their bid proposal.
ITEM 2: QUESTIONS/RESPONSES
Q. 1 Do you have to be a licensed electrician, as stated on the bid sheet? Response: No. A licensed electrician is not required under this contract. The line item related to licensed electrician rates has been removed from the revised Bid Sheet issued with this Addendum. Bidders should complete and submit pricing using the amended Bid Sheet only.
Q. 2 Would there be any electrical panel work?
Response: No. Any electrical panel work, if required, will be performed by a separately contracted licensed electrical contractor. Low-voltage electrical work at the irrigation controller or downstream of the controller may be performed by the landscape contractor as part of the scope of work.
Q.3 What happens if lines are under concrete? At what point will a concrete contractor be brought in? Response: The landscape contractor may perform repairs to broken irrigation lines located beneath concrete surfaces, provided the work is within the contractor’s applicable license classification and performed in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations. If the associated concrete removal and/or replacement work is estimated to exceed $1,000, the City will have that portion of the work performed by a concrete contractor.
Q.4 How do we add the cost to dispose of the concrete cleanout? Response: All cleanup and debris disposal are at the contractor's expense and should be factored into your bid accordingly.

Q.5 If we are doing repairs and there is concrete or asphalt work to be done, who will handle that? Is there already a contract in place for these services?
Response: The City will engage a concrete or paving contractor for any major concrete or asphalt work. The City currently has a concrete repair contract through Public Works.
Q. 6 Do you have to be a General Contractor?
Response: No. The required license for this contract is a C-27 Landscape Contractor's license.
Q.7 How does the City ensure there is proper manpower to handle a job? Response: The contractor is responsible for ensuring they have adequate staff and resources to complete all work within the specified requirements.
Q.8 What is the expected response time? What happens if we cannot respond within the allotted time frame? Response: The contractor must respond to emergency repair calls within two (2) hours of notification. The project manager will establish a reasonable completion date for each repair. If the contractor cannot meet that deadline, the project manager may engage other vendors to complete the repair.
Q.9 Will a markup be allowed for parts? Are tools reimbursable if purchased specifically for a job? Response: No markup on material costs will be allowed for repairs. The contractor is responsible for furnishing all necessary tools and equipment for each repair at their own expense.
