Board Member Dear Kevin Ham:
Traci Lawson
Board Member After lengthy and robust discussion, the Central Vista Business Improvement District (CVBID) Dale Ginos Advisory Board is recommending the following for the upcoming fiscal year starting July 1, Board Member 2022:
Dee Dee Timmons • Maintain the existing CVBID assessmentfees Board Member • Maintain the existing CVBID boundaries • Continue the existing Work Plan
We believe that implementing the CVBID program through grants is the best way to utilize the fees collected from the downtown businesses to market the CVBID areas. It is also important to note that the grant program allowed us to fund some important activities before the COVID-19 pandemic and we hope to this will be the case as we move forward.
Without this program, we as a Board are concerned that the many events and marketing activities that are happening, and/or could happen, would be halted. We want our city to continue to thrive and are looking for your support to continue our work throughout Downtown.
We recommend that the city continue the CVBID, fees, program, and activities for FY 22/23 to support our continued efforts to make Downtown Vista a destination location.
Sincerely,
Lisa Deju
CVBID Advisory Chair
